Itinerary 🗺️

Day 1: Shuttle transfer from Alma to Saint-Henri-de-Taillon - Cycling to Péribonka (43 km)

For your first day, this package includes a shuttle that will take you and your bikes from Alma to Saint-Henri-de-Taillon, where you will begin your stay by exploring Parc National de la Pointe Taillon. You'll have plenty of time to stop along the way and enjoy the beautiful beaches of Lac Saint-Jean by taking a dip. Then, you will head towards Péribonka where you will stay in a charming guesthouse.

Don't forget to pay your entrance fees to SÉPAQ if you plan to go through the park instead of taking the Véloroute des Bleuets or the 169.

It is possible, for an additional fee once on-site, to take a maritime shuttle at Pointe-Cheverette to get to Péribonka from Parc National de la Pointe-Taillon.

Day 2: Péribonka to Dolbeau-Mistassini (30 km)

Head towards Dolbeau-Mistassini! You will have the opportunity to admire numerous blueberry fields, visit the Louis-Hémon Museum, and explore the historic site of the Old Mill if you wish. Once you reach your destination, you will be accommodated in a motel. Don't miss the chance to taste the delicious blueberries coated in chocolate, a local tradition, and savor a good regional beer at the Le Coureur des Bois microbrewery.

Day 3: Dolbeau-Mistassini to Normandin (33 km)

The north of the lake is the perfect place to stock up on typical regional products at Délices du Lac-Saint-Jean or even try self-picking! Afterward, you can head to your bucolic accommodation for the night. Even though you're a bit far from the city, don't worry, your hosts offer a free shuttle to town for your dinner.

Day 4: Normandin to Saint-Félicien (27 km)

Pedal towards Saint-Félicien, where the Véloroute des Bleuets will follow along the majestic lake Saint-Jean. You will have the opportunity to visit the renowned Zoo sauvage de Saint-Félicien if you wish. Don't miss the local flavors at the Bouchard Artisan Bio artisanal cheese factory and at the La Chouape microbrewery before heading to your hotel.

Day 5: Saint-Félicien to Roberval (28 km)

Cycle towards Roberval for your fifth day. Stop for a short break at a local cheese factory. Then, visit the Mashteuiatsh ilnu museum before enjoying the sunset and heading back to your accommodation for the night, or continue your journey towards Chambord to visit the  historic village of Val-Jalbert, where time seems to have frozen in the 1920s. You have the option to spend the night there.

Day 6: Roberval to Métabetchouan (35 km)

Leave Roberval or Val-Jalbert to head towards Métabetchouan. Make a stop at Parc du Trou de la Fée in Desbiens and enjoy the beaches and various harvests in the municipality of Métabetchouan-Lac-à-la-Croix. Rest at your accommodation, a peaceful heritage house where history awaits you.

Day 7: Métabetchouan to Alma (35 km)

Begin your last day by following the shores of Métabetchouan. The good news is that you will be descending, so take advantage of the gravity-assisted ride to relax and appreciate the landscapes, as well as the weather if it's mild. Make as many stops as necessary to savor the good moments and enjoy the beaches to refresh yourself. Make a tasting stop at the Lac-Saint-Jean microbrewery and at the Médard cheese-bakery in Saint-Gédéon. To complete the tour around the lake, return to your starting point: our agency in Alma.
